Select Tel Systems has been in business since 1993 as an engineering firm, designing outside plant cable and electronics for the telephone industry. The company has grown by adding the basic components of the network to the original core business. The company is a full service network integrator with experienced staff in all areas of networking computers, telephone systems and other low voltage systems.
From the original design phase of our business, Select Tel Systems started placing cables both for inside (premise) and outside buildings. Our engineers have submitted permits for right of way and handled joint use applications with other utilities. Technicians are trained and certified by the vendors and all installations are handled according to industry standards.
All infrastructure is installed including CAT6 wiring, fiber optics, racks, hubs, routers, servers, workstations, software and all associated terminations. Installations are tested for standards certification and results are provided on paper or electronically. There is a Professional Engineer and RCDD on staff for design and project management.
The company has an Unlimited Low Voltage License in Georgia and is a member of the BICSI Organization. There are two staff members with NICET certification in Fire Alarm systems.
Select Tel Systems was selected as the Small Business of the Year by the Albany Chamber in 2001. We were proud that our efforts were recognized as we strive to serve our customers with attention to their needs on a timely basis.
We are continuing to update our business and we are pleased with our latest partnership with ShoreTel. ShoreTel is a VOIP telephone provider and there products and services match our desire to provide the best to our clients. We have looked at the VOIP technology develop for about 6 years and kept reviewing how we could bring this product to our clients. ShoreTel was the answer. We know we have a product that is reliable and it meets our customer requirements. ShoreTel is a product we support.
